This offering consists of a matched pair of greenish yellow Montana sapphires, both cut from a single piece of rough to ensure closely matched color. Achieving this level of color consistency in unheated Montana material is notably difficult when stones are cut from separate pieces of rough, making matched pairs such as this uncommon. Both stones show a medium-light tone with vivid saturation, presenting a bright, lively color that reads consistently between the pair. The rectangular octagon radiant cut provides strong brightness and good scintillation in both stones. Stone A (1.920 ct.) contains individual silk strands running diagonally across the stone, some of which are visible on close inspection. Aside from this silk, the stone is otherwise very clean and remains bright face-up. Stone B (1.710 ct.) shows silk that is largely confined to a single diagonal plane and is barely visible to the unaided eye. A tiny feather near one end is present but not visible without magnification. Both stones maintain excellent brightness and visual balance, making them well suited for matched side stones or a coordinated jewelry design.
